MARU started his music career playing extreme metal guitar, but ultimately switched to drums. Since then, he has become the drummer for many bands and projects.
His current bands include:
- kyanos, a melancholic rock band combining elements of rock, progressive, extreme and classic styles
- DEATHSPEED, which integrates old school and modern style thrash metal
- SPIRITUAL HEALING, a tribute band for the legendary band DEATH
MARU’s influences and his favorite artists include Gene Hoglan (DEATH?TESTAMENT), Flo Mounier (CRYPTOPSY), Dave Curloss (ex:SUFFOCATION?MALEVOLENT CREATION), and Munetaka Higuchi (LOUDNESS)
